Responsibilities :

  • System Administration: Manage, secure, and optimize our fleet of Linux servers (Ubuntu/Rocky/Alma). Perform system hardening, patching, and performance tuning.
  • Web Stack Management: Build, configure, and maintain LAMP (Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP) and LEMP (Linux, Nginx, MySQL, PHP) stacks.
  • Hosting Platform Management: Administer our WHM/cPanel environment, managing accounts, troubleshooting mail/DNS issues, and ensuring high availability.
  • Database Administration: Provide operational support for our databases, including MySQL (replication, backups, query optimization) and MongoDB (cluster health, performance tuning).
  • CI/CD & Automation: Own and improve our GitLab CI/CD pipelines. Automate builds, testing, and deployments using GitLab runners and scripting (Bash, Python).
  • Monitoring & Support: Implement and manage monitoring/dash-boarding/alerting systems (e.g., Grafana, Prometheus) to ensure 24/7 system health.
  • Troubleshooting: Act as an escalation point for complex system-level issues, debugging problems across the network, OS, database, and application layers.

Requirements :

  • Experience: 3-5+ years in a Linux System Administration, SysOps, or DevOps role.
  • Linux Expertise: Deep, practical knowledge of Linux (RHEL/CentOS or Debian/Ubuntu). You should be comfortable on the command line and with core concepts (networking, file systems, process management, security).
  • Web Stacks: Proven experience managing live production environments running LAMP and LEMP stacks.
  • Hosting Control Panels: Strong hands-on experience with WHM/cPanel administration.
  • Database Knowledge: Solid understanding of database administration for both MySQL and MongoDB.
  • DevOps Tooling: Proficiency with GitLab for source control (Git) and creating/maintaining CI/CD pipelines (YAML).
  • Scripting: Ability to automate tasks using shell scripting (Bash) or other languages (Python preferred).
  • Experience with configuration management tools like Ansible, Puppet, or Chef.
  • Knowledge of containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes).
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Alicloud).
  • Experience with networking concepts (VLANs, firewalls, load balancers).
  • Knowledge of monitoring stacks like the ELK Stack or Prometheus/Grafana.
  • Transport Layer security hands-on SSL/TLS Signed certificate installation and configuration.
